If it is happening on discord I'd also try to enable legacy audio in discord as sometimes that fixes random issues like this.Some users have been reporting having trouble connecting their headphones with their computers. This is quite the strange problem, I did have a similar issue on discord and I generally fixed it by going into settings and re setting my microphone to my headset microphone then pressing CTRL + R to refresh discord. In the sound control panel, go to the "recording" tab and open the properties of your microphone, click the "levels" tab and ensure it is both set to max volume and unmutedĭisable all other microphone devices so the only possible microphone for your pc to choose from is your chosen microphone You said it happens over time, do you notice it happening after opening a specific program or would it happen even just on the desktop with nothing running? Have you tried different USB ports, both on your rear IO and front IO? Have you tried uninstalling your USB drivers and doing a clean reinstallation of them? Out of curiosity where are you testing the microphones functionality? Is it in a game, on discord, on the sound control panel? There's no complaints like this anywhere that I could find on google, it seems I'm the only one to ever have this much trouble a dozen other things that I cant remember tryingĪny suggestions would be appreciated. messed with every setting in device manager so I come here in hopes I wont have to drive my PC to geek squad in tears. I've watched dozens of youtube videos trying every possible thing suggested. it shouldnt be a sound card issue either since the gpros have a usb dongle with its own integrated sound card. I know it isn't the ports, as the headset has both usb and mic/ headset splitter cables.
I get home and the headset works perfectly, until it just randomly stops picking up any mic input. Thinking it was my headset I went out and bought a pair of logitech gpro x's. My headset microphone randomly stopped working a couple days ago. Like the title says, this one has me at my breaking point.
